TATTOO COVER-UP & BODY MAKEUP: IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Acknowledgment of Terms and Informed Consent
The artist and business utilize professional-grade cosmetics and specialized techniques to maximize the concealment of the target tattoo and achieve the most natural appearance possible. However, cosmetic camouflage is subject to inherent material, environmental, and biological limitations. The Client is required to review each of the following disclosures carefully. By submission of the above form, you confirm that you have read, fully understand, and contractually accept all terms, conditions, and operational risks outlined in this agreement prior to the commencement of the procedure.
Realistic Expectations and Material Limitations: The skin in the tattooed area has been permanently altered by prior pigment insertion and may exhibit raised, scarred, uneven, or distinct textures. Cosmetic camouflage products modify color but cannot flatten or alter the underlying physical structure of the skin. Consequently, even with optimal cosmetic coverage, the treated area may remain detectable, particularly to individuals who possess prior knowledge of the original tattoo's existence, location, or shape. Cosmetically covered areas will never perfectly replicate the appearance, texture, or reflectivity of natural, untouched skin, and Client hereby waives any claims regarding the structural visibility of the underlying tattoo.
Color Matching and Lighting Limitation of Liability: We will attempt to match the cosmetic cover-up to the Client's natural skin tone as closely as possible using professional-grade products. However, due to natural micro-variations in human skin pigmentation, undertones, and the technical limitations of cosmetic camouflage products, an exact or seamless color match is not guaranteed. Additionally, changes in ambient lighting, including but not limited to shifts between indoor artificial light, natural outdoor sunlight, flash photography, and varying weather conditions, will dynamically alter the visual appearance and perceived accuracy of the color match.
Expected Visual Outcome: While advanced techniques and professional products are utilized to create a natural finish, rendering the tattoo substantially undetectable in general photography or to casual observation, cosmetic camouflage is a temporary concealment method, not a permanent or flawless skin replacement.
Material Durability and Non-Permanence: Despite the use of high-quality, water-resistant, and sweat-resistant special effects formulas, the applied coverage remains a topical cosmetic product. It is inherently temporary and designed for manual removal via rubbing alcohol or professional makeup cleansers.
Sealing and Product Transfer: While a waterproof setting agent is applied to mitigate smudging, the Client accepts that some degree of product transfer, fading, or wear onto clothing, fabric, and surrounding surfaces remains possible. The business assumes no liability for stained apparel or property.
Friction and External Wear: The Client agrees that any physical friction, rubbing, or contact from clothing, straps, or external objects will accelerate the degradation of the product and cause premature wear, for which the artist is not responsible.
Application Timeline: The Client agrees to allocate a minimum of 90 to 120+ minutes for the application process, depending on the complexity of the tattoo. The Client acknowledges that rushing the procedure will compromise the quality, adhesion, and visual integrity of the final result.
Dermal Preparation and Hair Removal: It is advisable to shave the target area approximately 48 to 72 hours prior to the appointment. The Client accepts that cosmetic products can accentuate fine, remaining body hairs, and that some hair visibility may persist post-application.
Topical Restrictions (Lotions and Creams): It is suggested to refrain from applying any body lotions, oils, creams, or moisturizers to the target area on the day of the appointment, acknowledging that topical barriers directly prevent proper product adhesion.
Sunless Tanning Interference: Avoid airbrush tans, self-tanning lotions, and bronzing creams for several days prior to the appointment. Sunless tanners disrupt color matching and compromise product bonding.
Alcohol Consumption: Alcohol consumption within 24 to 48 hours prior to the appointment alters skin excretions, which severely reduces the longevity and adhesion of the cosmetic cover-up.
Medications and Systemic Substances: Prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs, and recreational substances alter individual skin chemistry, perspiration rates, and oil production, directly impacting product performance and durability.
Individual Biological Results and Waiver of Claims: Individual skin chemistry, texture, oil production, and environmental exposure dictate the ultimate appearance and lifespan of the cover-up. Because these variables are beyond the control of the artist, no guarantees or warranties of any kind are made regarding final appearance, perfection, or longevity. The Client hereby releases the artist and the business from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from individual results that do not meet subjective expectations.
